Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

Committed to our clients, communities and teammates during the COVID-19 situation

With continued news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we felt it was important to provide you with an update to reassure you of our preparedness and to help protect you.  Supporting our clients has always been an important priority.  And in the midst of concerns surrounding coronavirus, it’s no exception.

We are prepared

Middleburg Financial has an Enterprise Business Continuity Plan in place which provides a comprehensive strategy to protect the organization from events that can disrupt normal business functions. The plan includes details specific to protocol during a pandemic event.  Rest assured, we’re positioned to continue providing critical services to our clients and community.

In addition, our advisors are following guidance to help prevent the spread of the virus, including frequent and thorough washing of hands and keeping work surfaces and equipment clean.  Like many organizations, we have moved to a work-at-home model and are following guidelines related to any group interactions.

Protecting your information

Cybercriminals are using concerns about the virus to launch phishing attacks. These emails may try to entice you with the promise of the latest virus information, the sale of scam products or the request for personal information. Because of this, please be cautious about clicking on email links or opening attachments referencing coronavirus, unless you are sure they are from a trusted source.

Available at your convenience

As always, we are here to support you. Please contact your advisor if we can assist in any way either by phone or by setting up an appointment.

We will continue to monitor this health situation and adjust our response as needed.  If you have questions about COVID-19, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov/, World Health Organization https://www.who.int/ and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus websites are good sources for accurate and up-to-date information.
